Route Planner: Unlimited Stops

Route Planner: Unlimited Stops is a multi-stop route planning and optimization app built for delivery drivers, couriers, and sales reps who need to visit many stops in a single trip. Every major competitor in this space caps free users at 8 to 20 stops per route, forcing real courier days of 50 to 150+ stops behind a paywall — Route Planner removes that limit entirely.

The app lets a user add stops by typing an address with autocomplete, pasting a list, scanning a printed label with on-device OCR (Google ML Kit), dictating an address by voice, dropping a pin, or picking from a saved address book — then optimizes the visiting order and hands each stop off to the user's preferred navigation app.

No sign-up is required to start: the app creates a silent anonymous session on first launch, and only prompts an optional, skippable Google account link after the user's third route — purely so their data survives a device change, never as a gate to core functionality.

Backend is Supabase (Postgres with row-level security, Auth with anonymous sign-in and identity linking) paired with Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications, and a from-scratch Flutter design system supporting light and dark mode with full localization architecture from day one.

• Architected the full app end-to-end: design system, localization, routing, and data layer, built for a real Play Store launch
• Implemented on-device OCR stop scanning (Google ML Kit) with an editable confirmation step so misreads can be fixed before a stop is added
• Implemented voice stop entry (on-device speech recognition) with live transcription and graceful failure handling
• Built an anonymous-first authentication flow on Supabase Auth — silent sign-in with a skippable, contextual prompt to link a Google account after the third route, preserving the same account via identity linking rather than creating a separate one
• Designed the Postgres schema and row-level security policies so every row is scoped to its owning user by default
• Wired Firebase Cloud Messaging for push notifications, including foreground display handling and topic subscriptions
• Built the on-device device/profile sync pipeline (device info, app version, locale, FCM token, opportunistic last-known location) with partial-update logic so a missing field never overwrites previously known data
